We make games. We don’t sell your data. This policy explains what (little) information we may collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it. It’s written in plain English because nobody likes legal jargon — least of all us.
1. Who we are
No Ducks Given Games (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an independent game studio operating the website noducksgivengames.com and developing games including Chuck a Duck.

2. What information we collect
Right now our website is mostly a static showcase. We collect very little.
Information you give us voluntarily
- Email address (if you contact us or sign up for updates)
- Any other details you choose to include in a message to us
Information collected automatically
- Basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, date/time) — standard for any website
- If we later add analytics (e.g. privacy-friendly tools like Plausible or Cloudflare Web Analytics), we will only collect anonymised or aggregated usage data
When Chuck a Duck (or any future game) launches, we may also collect:
- Gameplay analytics and crash reports (to fix bugs and improve the game)
- Account identifiers if cloud saves, leaderboards, or similar features are offered
- Platform-specific data required by Steam, consoles, mobile stores, etc.
We will update this policy before any of those features go live and will never collect more than we need.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect only to:
- Reply to your messages
- Send occasional updates about our games (only if you asked for them)
- Keep the website running and secure
- Improve our games and fix problems
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. Ever.
4. Cookies and tracking
Our website currently uses only essential cookies required for basic functionality (or none at all). We do not use advertising trackers or invasive analytics.
If we introduce any non-essential cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.
5. Third parties
We may use trusted service providers to help us operate (for example: Cloudflare for hosting and security, email providers for correspondence). These providers only process data on our instructions and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.
If our games appear on platforms such as Steam, itch.io, consoles or mobile app stores, those platforms have their own privacy policies that also apply.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above, or as required by law. Contact emails are typically retained for a reasonable period so we can maintain the conversation, then deleted.
7. Children’s privacy
Our website and games are intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent (where we rely on consent)
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we do our best to keep ducks (and data) safe.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website or communicated directly if appropriate.
